The Growth and Efficiency of Feed Utilization of Rats Fed Four Tropical Fats
Resumen
There were no significant differences in the rate of growth or efficiency of feed utilization of rats fed fats of each of the following: Wesson oil, morro (Crescentia alata), tambor (Omphalea oleifera), sapayulo (Calo carpum mammosum), and corozo (Orbignya cobune and species of the genus Scheelea). The data suggests that areas of tropical America contain valuable fat resources which could be developed for the human diet.
