Contribución de los sistemas agroforestales a la seguridad alimentaria (con énfasis en huertos caseros) de la población del Polo Agroforestal Wilson Pinheiro en Río Branco, Acre

Abstract

El presente estudio se realizó en el Pólo Agroforestal Wilson Pinheiro (creado en el año 2000) ubicado en la ciudad de Rio Branco, con el objetivo de conocer la contribución de sus sistemas agroforestales (SAFs) a la seguridad alimentaria de su población, describir los diferentes SAFs y su diversidad y conocer los capitales de la comunidad y sus medios de vida. Se utilizaron metodologías de investigación cualitativa como entrevistas semiestructuradas, el sondeo, la observación, identificación de actores claves, búsqueda de información secundaria y realización de estudios de caso. Los sistemas agroforestales encontrados en la comunidad fueron los de agricultura migratoria – roçados, en 100% y barbecho en 80%; huertos caseros (HC) en poco más de 94%; y los cultivos bajo cobertura arbórea en cerca de 50%. The present study was conducted in the Agroforestry Pole Wilson Pinheiro ( created in 2000) located in the city of Rio Branco , with the objective to know the distribution of agroforestry systeMON (AFS) to the food security of its population, describe the different AFS and its diversity and know the capitals of the community and their livelihoods. They were used qualitative research methodologies such as structured interviews, survey, observation, identification of key actors, secondary data search and case studies. Agroforestry systeMON found in the community were shifting cultivation - roçados in 100% and 80% fallow; homegardens in just over 94%; and the crops under tree cover in about 50%.
