Effect of Yuca Meal in Baby Chick Rations
Abstract
Yuca meal was fed to replace corn in rations containing several sources of proteins and dried forage meals. In the out of seven experiments, chicks fed corn showed a significant increase in growth over chicks fed yuca meal. In the remaining experiments there were no significant differences in growth rates.
It is important to preparate yuca meal free of contaminants.
Under Guatemala conditions, yuca meal may satisfactorily replace corn in baby chick rations.
