the present study was undertaken to obtain additional information on the influence, under artificial conditions of light and temperature requined by tube.s of the Katbadin variety of potato in order to attain the incubation stage (period elapsed between the sprouting of the tubers and the tubes formation).
Considering the basis to be 50% of incubated potatoes, the conclusions of a previous study by the author concerning temperatuves, are ratified. When the temperatme is low (47 88 °C) the incubation of the tubers is delayed This effect was also obserted on potatoes treated with a wide range of temperatuves (99249°C)
Light bas an stimulant effect when it is allowed to act diming a period of 30 days before the darkness treatment If the afore-mentioned period is lengthened light becomes a delaying factor of the process
