Lista preliminar de insectos asociados al maíz en Nicaragua

Abstract

A list is presented of the insects found feeding on or living in corn at Nicara-gna, both at experimental plots at "La Calera" station, near Managua, as well as in other parts of the country. Most destructive pests are Laphygma frugiperda, Diatraea lineclata, Heliothis zea, some species of Cicadellidae that are diseases' vectors, Estigmene acraea and Elasmopalpus lignosellus.
