Observaciones sobre fertilidad comparada y efecto de la inseminación artificial sobre la Trichomoniasis en vacunos lecheros
Abstract
Comparisons are made on fertility of dairy cattle before and after the introduction in 1957 of artificial insemination Fertility was good in Criollo cattle under natural conditions, until there was a drop due to the presence of Trichomonas foetus infection. The total elimina-tion of natural service and the introduction of young. disease-free bulls, has been found to be an effective weapon against Trichomonas in tropical conditions Jersey and Criollo herds recuperated faster than those with Shindi Zebu blood.
