Influencia de la estabulación sobre la producción de leche en vacas pastoreadas en pasto Pangola
Abstract
Groups of cows mantained on Pangola grass pastures were subjected to nocturnal and diurnal stall feeding. Night stabling increased milk production, over continuous grazing, not so the day stabling. It is suggested that nocturnal stabling interferes less with the natural tendency of cows to graze during the day. If the pasture is of good quality there is no need to keep cows continuously on it since eight hours of grazing results in maximum production
