A study was made to determine to what methods extension agents attribute more importan ce in the diffusion of agricultural practices in Costa Rica. Results show that the methods most frequen-tly used, and the most effective, are farm visits, demon strations, and farm tours Radio and films are used with severe limitations Circular letters and bulletins were thought to have little educational value In the opinion of the agents. direct contact methods are more effec tive than the indirect ones Agents recognized disad vantages in certain methods for the introduction of farm practices.
