Mineralización de P-orgánico en suelos ácidos
Abstract
Mineralization of organic phosphorus was studied in three volcanic soils of Costa Rica. The results indicated that for Juray (Alluvial) and Birrisito (vitrandept) mineralization was observed measured by an increase in inorganic P, after 10 months incubation. For Colorado series (distropets) immobilization occurred. For the first 3 months of incubation immobilization was observed for all soils. When inorganic P was fractioned the results show no relationship with mineralization, it rather shows variability of the Al-P, Fe-P and Ca-P during the incubation period. Lime application did not show any definite pattern. There was no effect for Colorado soil, but decreased and increased organic-P for Birrisito and Juray respectively. When temperature was compared there was no difference between room temperature (23°C) and 35°C. Phosphate application increased inorganic fractions of P, and increased organic P for Colorado soil. Mineralization seems to have occurred for soils high in total P and high in organic P.
