dc.description.abstractThe rate of free proline accumulation in root apices of young corn seedlings was studied under drought conditions, in a wide renge of hybrids lines and populations. Accumulation rates encountered ranged from 3 times normal content in 'Dekaib 4F 33 to 12 times (sweet corn. cultivar Sorpresa) but no correlation could be established with the results obtained in other resistance tests.es_ES
