The objective of the study was to generate information regarding the influence of tree cover in silvopastoral systeMON on tick distribution in the soil of livestock (cattle) farMON in the dry tropics. The microclimate under tree canopies in silvopastoral systeMON favors the development and survival of ticks; however, this does not differ from the environmental conditions experienced by areas without tree cover. Therefore, it can be concluded that silvopastoral systeMON do not have a strong impact on the distribution of tick larvae in pasture soil.
