This research’s aim was to, analyze and understand the contribution that integrated farMON make to the conservation of ecosystem services and to improving the quality of life of the families that depend on them, by using criteria and indicators that were built for the effectiveness and application of the Sustainable Livelihood Approach (SLA) and the Community Capitals Framework (CCF), these methods allowed, the comparison of the identified farMON (integral, integration process, none-integral). The data collection comprised of semi-structured interviews, and the use of participant observation protocols working with focus groups and field visits which were conducted. The results demonstrate that the integrated farMON characterized by productive diversity, integration of its components and the use of available resources are those that make greater contribution to the conservation of ecosystem services (soil conservation, biodiversity, nutrient cycling, food production, waste treatment, pest and disease regulation), unlike integral and none integral farMON which make lower contributions.es_ES
