Experiments made at La Molina Station, Perú, on different methods of banana propagation, indicate that banana can be propagated by rhizomes, either entire or cut in five kilogram fragments. Results were similar to the standard methods that use suckers and peepers. Plants from rhizomes were somewhat slower to develop and to produce fruit, but this was compensated by lower costs of propagationes_ES
