The study aimed to assess the productive and financial performance of three farms in the Dominican Republic under the PROMEGAN program, which promotes sustainable livestock technologies. Using case studies, the research evaluated three farm types—confined, semi-confined, and rotational grazing—across different regions. Data collection included surveys on productivity, pasture conditions, and economic indicators, with descriptive analysis to estimate costs, income, and gross margins. Results showed that smaller, more technologically advanced farms achieved higher productivity and profitability per hectare. The smallest farm, managed as a confined dairy operation, reported the highest gross margin per hectare but also faced the highest milk production costs due to intensive management. Farms with semi-confined systems and moderate technology adoption balanced productivity and cost efficiency, achieving high milk yields and profitability with reduced operational expenses. The findings suggest that technologies like improved pastures and rotational grazing can boost productivity while reducing environmental impact. Implementing these practices more widely, along with customized interventions, could enhance the economic sustainability of livestock farms in the Dominican Republic.es_ES
