dc.description.abstract | Bean yellow stipple virus (BYSW) was isolated froni beans (Phascolus vulgaris) in Turrialba, Costa Rica. Infected plants showed a distinctive yellow stippling and stight malformation of leaves BYSYV infected 14 of 24 mechanically inoculated species of Legnminosae. All of 3542 cultivars of beans tested were found susceptible to the vis. No species outside Leguminosae were infected. The virus was not transmitted through seeds of infected plants. Properties in unbuffered sap were thermal inactive. | es_ES |
