A disease of the banana fruit caused by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib) de Bary (Whetzelinia scierotiorum) was observed in the Experimental Station of the Tropical Agri cultural Training & Research Center, CATIE, at Turrialba, Costa Rica.
