A revision was made of the literature relative to the propagation of coffee by cuttings is to be secured. Much apparently depends upon the age of the mother plant, wheather some control of the environment is provided, the media in which the cuttings are planted, the type and size of the cuttings, the watering schedule and wheather hormones are used or not. Although considerable work has been carried out in the propagation of coffee by cuttings, the review clearly shows that further studies are warranted before this method of propagation can be used with consistant success
