Plan de implementación de un sistema de trazabilidad en la cadena de valor de los cafés sostenibles en Colombia mediante el uso de Blockchain

Abstract

La caficultura en Colombia avanza hacia una sostenibilidad 100%, siendo el resultado de la implementación de diversos programas de certificación o verificación que requieren de procesos de recolección de información que actualmente son físicos y tardíos, lo que impide contar con una trazabilidad eficiente y en tiempo real. Es justamente la necesidad de una trazabilidad eficiente y en tiempo real lo que genera la búsqueda de tecnologías que aporten al proceso, el cual ha demostrado ser hoy en día poco práctico y donde se requiere mucha información. Dentro de las diversas posibilidades, Blockchain es una herramienta con la que se busca mejorar los tiempos de respuesta y sobre todo trasparencia a lo largo de la cadena productiva del café. Su uso actualmente en cadenas productivas está cubriendo la necesidad no solo del consumidor sino también de los demás interesados en cada eslabón, interesados en poder rastrear el producto. El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo, lograr una trazabilidad en tiempo real y eficiente en la cadena de valor de los cafés sostenibles con participación de Almacafé S.A. en Colombia, por medio del uso de Blockchain.
