Incidencia de Azospirillum en algunas gramíneas del tropico subhúmedo cálido de México
Alternative title
Azospirillum in some graminea of the warm subhumid tropics of Mexico.
Résumé
Number and identification of Azospirillum species were determined in the rhizosphere and roots of maize in 3 different biasses (l anicum maximum, Hyparremia tufa and Cynodon dactylon) collected in the field We observed differences in the number of isolated strains in relation to the sampling area A. lipoferum was predo-minant in maize roots and A. brasilense in C. dactylon roots; roots of the other two grasses do not show a marked incidence of any of the two species A. lipolerum strains were predominantly present in the rhizosphere of all studied plants. The percentage of denitrifring A brasilense strains in the roots of Cynodon and H. rufa was 12.9 and 9.2 Wilk in maize 6 1 and in Panicum only 1.2% .
