dc.description.abstractLa estimación de la biomasa y carbono almacenado se realizó en 15,821.82 ha, en siete tipos de cobertura del suelo de la zona núcleo del Parque Nacional Montaña de Celaque (PNMC), ubicado entre los departamentos de Lempira, Copán y Ocotepeque en la República de Honduras y declarado como Parque Nacional bajo el Decreto 87-87. Para este estudio se realizó un inventario estratificado con selección sistemática de las parcelas siguiendo la metodología de REDD-GIZ. Para ello se elaboró un mapa de tipos de cobertura del suelo mediante una clasificación supervisada de una imagen satelital Landsat TM 2011, con el software Erdas Imagine. Fueron distribuidas 367 parcelas, en los 7 tipos de cobertura encontrados en la zona núcleo del PNMC; en las cuales se obtuvo los siguientes resultados para la estimación de biomasa: bosque conífera denso 1,198.5 TM/ha, conífera ralo 116.4 TM/ha, guamil 114 TM/ha, latifoliado 285.8 TM/ha, mixto denso 932.3 TM/ha, mixto ralo 105.8 TM/ha y para pastizales y/o agricultura 46.5 TM/ha, así mismo, para el carbono almacenado los resultados estimados fueron: bosque conífera denso 619.3 TM/ha, conífera ralo 60 TM/ha, guamil 58 TM/ha, latifoliado 142.9 TM/ha, mixto denso 479.6 TM/ha, mixto ralo 54.3 TM/ha y para pastizales y/o cultivos agrícolas 23.5 TM/ha; para un total estimado de 9,742,895.9 TM y 5,009,886 TM de biomasa y carbono, respectivamente. El carbono almacenado en el suelo a una profundidad de 30 cm fue estimado en 61.8 TM/ha para un total estimado de 977,053.3 TM.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe estimated stored biomass and carbon were studied in 15,821.82 ha, in seven types of soil cover of core zone of the Celaque Mountain National Park (PNMC), situated between the departments of Lempira, Copán and Ocotepeque in the Republic of Honduras and declared as National Park under the Executive Order 87-87. For this study a stratified inventory was conducted with a selection systematic of the plots following the REDD-GIZ methodology. For this, a map of soil forest types was made through a supervised classification of an image of the Landsat TM 2011 sensor, with the Erdas Imagine software. 367 plots were distributed in the seven forest types found in the core zone of the PNMC; in which the following results were obtained for the estimation of biomass: dense conifer forest 1,198.5 MT/ha, sparse conifer forest 116.4 MT/ha, secondary forest 114 MT/ha, broad leaf forest 285.8 MT/ha, dense mixed forest 932.3 MT/ha, sparse mixed forest 105.8 MT/ha and for pasture and/or agriculture 46.5 MT/ha, likewise, for the estimated stored carbon the results were: dense conifer forest 619.3 MT/ha, sparse conifer forest 60 MT/ha, secondary forest 58 MT/ha, broad leaf forest 142.9 MT/ha, dense mixed forest 479.6 MT/ha, sparse mixed forest 54.3 MT/ha and for pasture and/or agriculture 23.5 MT/ha; for an estimated total of 9,742,895.9 MT and 5,009,886 MT of biomass and carbon, respectively. The stored carbon in the soil at a depth of 30 cm it was estimated in 61.8 MT/ha for an estimated total of 977,053.3 MT.es_ES
